The Mahindra Scorpio, or rather the Scorpio-N, has been dominating all the headlines lately. There is already a lot of information about the Scorpio-N. We already know the exterior design and some of the features. But now the brochure of the Mahindra Scorpio-N has been leaked online. What new information does the brochure reveal? As mentioned above, Mahindra has already revealed the exterior design. The Scorpio-N looked big in the pictures, but we didn't have the exact dimensions. So, how big is the Scorpio-N? The Scorpio-N is 4,662 mm long, 1,917 mm wide and 1,870 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. With these dimensions, it is taller than the Tata Safari and the XUV700. Compared to the Fortuner, the Scorpio-N is just inferior in terms of length. It is taller than the Fortuner in other areas too (width, height, wheelbase). It looks like Mahindra is seriously planning to conquer the D-segment.

The brochure explains the interior and features. So what are the updated features? We see a dual-tone dashboard with large infotainment system with the AdreonX system. In addition, we have a semi-digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof and connected car technology. The Scorpio-N also gets a multifunction steering wheel like the XUV700. What about ADAS? The Scorpio-N will lack the ADAS functionality. The new Scorpio-N will be available with six and seven seats.

The engine specifications have not been mentioned in the brochure. However, there are confirmed reports about the engine options. There will be a 2.2-litre diesel engine. This engine will be available in two power outputs – 130bhp for the lower variants and 185bhp for the higher trim levels. What about the petrol options? It will have the same 2.0-litre engine as the XUV700. Both the engines will be available with manual and automatic transmission option. The diesel engine will also be available with a 4×4 system as an option.

Prices and market launch

As for the price, we expect the Scorpio-N to start at around Rs 14.5 lakh to Rs 15.5 lakh (road version) and go up to Rs 25 lakh (on-road version). However, Mahindra being Mahindra, the company could go even more aggressive with the car and only time will tell how the brand plans to appeal to the market. Mahindra will launch the Scorpio-N on June 27.
