The Georgia Bulldogs defensive secondary is considered one of the best in college football

Throughout the Kirby Smart era, the Georgia Bulldogs have had one of the most dominant defenses in college football, paving the way for the Dawgs' success on the field. It appears that Georgia's recent trend will continue as well. According to Pro Football Focus, the Georgia Bulldogs have the seventh-best defense in college football this season, a ranking that the list says is the second-best in the entire SEC.

What makes this ranking so impressive is the fact that despite losing three core players just a year ago (Javon Bullard, Tykee Smith and Kamari Lassiter), the Dawgs are still among the best in college football due to their talent and roster depth.

The Bulldogs' high ranking is further evidence of Kirby Smart and his staff's ability to recruit and develop talent. It also shows that the Georgia Bulldogs should once again have one of the strongest defenses in the SEC, if not in all of college football.
