The UFC returns to APEX in Las Vegas where flyweights will clash. In the main event, Alex Perez will fight Tatsuro Taira for the flyweight title.

Perez (25-8) has gone 2-3 in his last five fights. The former TPF flyweight champion and UFC flyweight title contender failed to capture UFC gold in 2020 and has been trying to rebuild. The 32-year-old already has a 1-1 record in 2024 and is ranked fifth in the UFC rankings at 125.

“It helps to remind the division that I’m still here,” Perez said of his hard-fought win over Matheus Nicolau in April via MMA News. “My last few fights haven’t been the best. The [Muhammad] The fight against Mokaev was tough. I had a lot to do. But I feel like I put the whole division on the line – I'm still here to stay.”
