TikTok's 'Kudasai Girl' has landed in Singapore – here's when and where to meet her

0

It's official, “Kudasai Girl” has landed in Singapore. Additionally, the TikTok star is hosting a meet-and-greet in Sentosa this Friday (June 14) – a chance for local fans to join in with her famous “Kudasai” chant.

Kudasai Girl is Devin Halbal (@hal.baddie), a travel influencer who started posting videos of her solo travels in 2021. In them, she is often seen confidently walking down the streets with her signature long selfie stick and spouting catchy catchphrases like “doll check-in,” “Met Gala behavior,” and “I'm a butterfly.” A proud advocate for trans women like herself, she has steadily built a huge fan base with her witty charm and positive energy.

On a trip to Japan earlier this year, she posted a clip of herself singing “Sushi Kudasai” (which translates to “Give me sushi”). The internet jumped on it and the clip (and the slogan) went viral – catapulting her to destinations such as Korea, Hong Kong and later in June this year, Malaysia and Kazakhstan. At each destination, dozens of fans came to meet her – in Jeju, it was so hectic that she had to be taken away in a police car.

Her next stop? Singapore. In some of her recent videos, Devin can be seen at Changi Airport singing “Changi Airport kudasai,” “kopi peng kudasai,” and “lobang kudasai” — so we know she's ready to charm the locals with Singapore-specific phrases. The TikTok star now seems to be taking in the sights of the city, visiting Jewel Changi Airport, something that looks like Tanjong Pagar, and meeting the red junglefowl. To meet her, though, wait for the meet-and-greet on June 14 at Sentosa Palawan Green. The event will be held from 5pm to 6pm and is your chance to shout “kudasai” with the Kudasai girl herself.
