ONE 167 results: Kade wins MMA debut, Mikey Musumeci defeats Gabriel Sousa

At ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut 2, Mikey Musumeci got a measure of revenge by submitting his former opponent Gabriel Sousa, and Kade Ruotolo won his MMA debut by submission in a display of classic jiu-jitsu.

Mikey and Gabriel squared off in a highly anticipated 145-pound grappling match, a rematch of a 2021 bout in which Gabriel forced Mikey to submit. This time, it was the other way around: Musumeci got the submission with a calf slicer, which he secured from a K Guard inversion just minutes into the action.

Kade Ruotolo was successful and dominant in his MMA debut, winning by submission with rear naked choke in the first round over Blake Cooper. After coming out wearing his black belt in a gi, the Atos black belt started the fight on his feet for the first few minutes before eventually achieving the body lock and back control. This fight took place in the 155-pound class.
