After years of waiting, delayed returns, and the release of “Road House,” Conor McGregor is now set to make his return. Later this month, the former two-weight champion will face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in Las Vegas.

The first press conference for the event was scheduled to take place this Monday in Dublin. However, it was cancelled just hours before the press conference for mysterious reasons. No reason was given for the postponement and fans began to wonder if the fight was cancelled. Later, Ariel Helwani reported that the UFC had been in contact with other fighters, seemingly suggesting that Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler was in jeopardy.

However, it seems that all the worries were in vain. In recent days, Conor McGregor has been posting photos of himself in good spirits on social media. In addition, the aforementioned Helwani later stated that the fight will still take place. Earlier today, “The Notorious” provided more optimism with several training clips posted on social media.

Regardless, Conor McGregor's fight against Michael Chandler is extremely important for both men. While “The Notorious” has not competed since 2021, “Iron” has also taken a long break. Chandler last competed in November 2022 and suffered a third-round submission loss to Dustin Poirier.
