NASCAR Liveries of the Week: Toyota/Save Mart 350

0

The Toyota/Save Mart 350 is upon us. NASCAR has come to wine country to tackle the curves of Sonoma. It's going to be a warm weekend with some hot paint jobs.

One last trip out west before the playoffs in Las Vegas and Phoenix. This will also be the last race of the season to be broadcast on FOX. NBC will take over race coverage starting next week at Iowa Speedway.

So let's take a look at these paint jobs for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 and rate each one. A much better batch this week than last week at Gateway.

Kyle Larson No. 5 Valvoline Chevy

Kyle Larson is coming to Sonoma in this great Valvoline paint scheme. I'm here in Sonoma with Valvoline and Hendrick Motorsports and will have more to report this week.

This is a really solid Valvoline design, they always bring great looks to the track. Always fun to see Larson in an alternative like this for the Toyota/Save Mart 350. 8.5/10.

Chase Elliott No. 9 NAPA Gold Filter Chevy

This livery should really be reserved for night racing, but I will never complain about this black and gold design by Chase Elliott.

Elliott has been quietly good this season. Sonoma is a race he could win if he has a good qualifying day and prepares well for the race. 8.5/10.

Chase Briscoe No. 14 Ford Performance Racing School Ford

I kind of like this design and the associated sponsors on the color blocks. Chase Briscoe doesn't usually have my favorite paint jobs.

This one looks great though. Ford Performance put together a good example and it should look great in the Toyota/Save Mart 350. 8/10.

Joey Logano No. 22 Autotrader Ford

Here's a driver who desperately needs a win. Joey Logano needs to get back on track this season or things will quickly spiral out of control.

The Autotrader color scheme is always fun. You can't beat orange and blue on a race car. Another solid scheme this week. 8.5/10.

Will Brown No. 33 Mobil X/Shaw and Partners Chevy

This is almost the same livery that Brodie Kostecki used at Indy last year, but a little different. Will Brown is also behind the wheel this week.

Brown is the driver who replaced Shane van Gisbergen in his old Supercars team. Can he also score a win on his debut? 7.5/10.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. No. 47 Kroger Health/Tylenol Chevy

This Tylenol car looks very similar to Cal Naughton Jr.'s paint job Talladega – The Last Nights. Also a great sponsor for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. a few weeks after his altercation with Kyle Busch.

You can bet Stenhouse will be handing out Tylenol and Band-Aids if anyone gets in his way this week. 8.5/10.

Alex Bowman No. 48 Ally Pride Chevy

Pride month is here and Alex Bowman is back in a Pride color scheme. Ally does a great job with it and this year the car looks just as good as ever.

That dark purple is always great, the white letters and numbers make it stand out. Then there are the colorful additions on the hood and the “Do it right” letters on the back of the car. 8/10.

A very interesting sponsorship and color scheme for Cam Waters in his Cup Series debut. Waters has already made a few starts in the Truck Series and it's time for the big show.

This car will be fun on the track. These Supercars drivers are getting the most out of this next-gen car and are hoping to make their big break in NASCAR. 8/10.
