Walking through a city in the hot sun, hiking through a beautiful natural landscape, or even spending the whole day at a festival can leave you feeling more than dirty.

And at the end of the evening, after a nice shower, you just want to collapse onto your hotel bed.

But what if you booked a room with a shower that you couldn't even use?

Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to wheelchair user @wheelchairkev when the 'accessible' room he booked didn't have a walk-in shower and so he couldn't use it at all!

Kevin begins his video by explaining that he booked a handicapped accessible room for his last stay at the Intercontinental Hotel in LA.

“It should have a roll-in shower. I double-checked with the guy and he even read it to me again before we booked. He said, 'A wheelchair accessible king room with a roll-in shower.'”

But when he looked at his room, there was no wheelchair-accessible shower to be found anywhere.

Kevin said that it is accidents like this that lead to disabled people no longer wanting to travel and go on vacation.

“I have things to do tomorrow. I can't even take a shower, I'm not even going to go out and do them.”

Not only did this ruin his accommodation for the trip, but it also affected his ability to spend his vacation!

“You don’t understand, booking a wheelchair accessible room is all about the shower.”

And Kevin urged his viewers to tag the hotel company in his comments, saying he paid a lot of money for a room he essentially couldn't use.

“Please tag her, I need your help guys.” Kevin shouldn't have to call his followers just to get the accommodation he needs to use the room he paid for.

And this user suggested that he contact the ADA if the hotel could not provide him with the accessible room he booked.

And this user said that even when hotels tried to offer her accessible rooms, they refused to confirm that they were available.

And many thought that since it was their mistake, the hotel would have to find him a usable room.

Finally, this user even thought that the hotel should provide Kevin with a comparable hotel!

This is really frustrating.

Do better, Intercontinental!
