NBA Finals schedule: How to watch, betting odds and more for Mavericks vs. Celtics

The 2024 NBA Finals begin on Thursday and once again there will be a new champion. The Boston Celtics, the champions of the Eastern Conference, will fight against the Dallas Mavericks, the champions of the Western Conference, for the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

Boston is seeking its 18th title in franchise history, while the Mavericks are seeking their second. There are plenty of stories surrounding these two teams, and we should be in for an exciting 77th edition of the NBA Finals.

The NBA Finals will be broadcast on ABC, the home network of the NBA Finals. You can watch the games on ABC, ABC.com, the ABC app, or connected devices like Roku, AppleTV, and Amazon Fire TV.

According to ESPN Bet, the Celtics are the favorites to win the title at -225 odds, while Dallas is at +180. As for the exact total number of games in the series, the odds for a final that goes to four games are +475, for five games are +240, for six games are +230, and for a final that goes the full distance, with seven games, is +220.

As for the odds to win Finals MVP, Celtics forward Jayson Tatum leads the way in that category with the lowest odds of -120. Tatum is followed by Mavericks superstar forward Luka Doncic at +220, Celtics forward Jaylen Brown at +650, Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving at +1400, Celtics guard Derrick White at +2800, Celtics forward Kristaps Porzingis at +5000, Celtics guard Jrue Holiday at +5000, Mavericks forward PJ Washington at +20000, Celtics forward Al Horford at +30000, and Mavericks center Dereck Lively II at +50000.
