Lady Vols basketball transfer portal tracker, roster updates

Lady Vols Basketball is building a squad for its first season under coach Kim Caldwell.

Caldwell, who was hired on April 7 after one season at Marshall, has completed her roster and will now fill out the 2024-25 roster through the transfer portal.

Caroline Striplin

Karoline Striplin averaged 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 33 games with 11 starts. The 6-foot-3 forward shot 49.1% and hit 31% of her three-pointers. She averaged 14.4 minutes per game. Her best game was a 29-point performance with four 3-pointers in the Lady Vols' loss to Middle Tennessee State.

Jewel Spear and Tess Darby return for Lady Vols

Jewel Spear led Tennessee with 69 three-point shots and a 37.3% shooting percentage last season. The Wake Forest transfer averaged 13.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

Spear initially announced she would be returning to UT the day before Harper's firing. When Caldwell was introduced as coach, she indicated she was considering staying with the Lady Vols and then made that her final decision.

Tess Darby

Tess Darby is coming back for a fifth season. The 1.90 meter tall guard from Greenfield played four years at Tennessee. She moved into the top 10 in career 3-pointers made this season and is No. 5 all-time with 170 career 3-pointers. She is using her COVID-19 year in which she is eligible to return.
