Former DCEU boss to produce R-rated Ninja Turtles film

The Heroes in a Half-Shell is getting a new live-action film, but this one will be much more mature than the previous one Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Films. It was announced that a new film based on it is in the works TMNT: The Last Roninand it will receive a rating that reflects the more adult content.

According to THR, Paramount Pictures has greenlit a new live-action feature film based directly on the IDW comic series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. The franchise recently returned to the big screen with the 2023 animated film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. The film was acclaimed and a box office hit, leading to a sequel, which is currently in the works. There will also be an accompanying animated series, Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtlesis coming to Paramount+.
