Here's how to stream Fallout online for free

“Fallout” leaves the vault this week. The highly anticipated show, an adaptation of the retro-futuristic video game series of the same name, premieres all eight episodes on April 10 at 6:00 pm PT. The special release includes a live global fan premiere of the first episode, where viewers worldwide can select their faction and interact with other fans via a live chat feature.

The series, starring Walton Goggins, is set in post-apocalyptic future Los Angeles. After nuclear annihilation, citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits. The story begins in Vault 33, one such bunker that features prominently in the video games. The “Fallout” show will also take place in the official canon of the games.

“Fallout” is executive produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the duo behind “Westworld,” and stars Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones and Aaron Moten.

MacLachlan, who plays Vault 33 Overseer Hank McLean, said diversity on adapting the “Fallout” series: “The people who play the video games and are real fans, I think they're both excited and a little hesitant because they've been burned before.” But the more press we get about it and the more teasers are released, the more I notice the tone changing from “Oh, I hope I don't screw it up” to “Oh, I hope I don't screw it up.” Oh, I'm so excited. I think that looks pretty good.'”

“'Fallout' is bizarre but wildly entertaining and unlike anything you've ever seen,” Variety TV critic Aramide Tinibu wrote in her review. “For that reason alone you won’t be able to turn away.”
