1. William Byron ($10,800) – Track history and current form are two of the strongest statistics in NASCAR DFS. Byron won the Texas race in 2023 and finished second in 2021. He has won two races in the last three weeks and three overall.

2. Kyle Larson ($11,000) – Winning is great. Top 5 placements are important. Hog points – quick and round-led points – are everything. Larson scored 63 Hog points last season at Texas and 111 in the 2021 race.

3. Ryan Blaney ($10,200) – Texas is a high-speed rail line. Blaney is great on the short, flat tracks with hard braking. It also excels at the intermediate, flat-footed, pedal-to-the-floor routes. Blaney has the best average driver rating of the last eight races in Texas.

4. Denny Hamlin ($10,500) – The pit lane decides the races. Hamlin criticizes the NextGen car and parity in his weekly podcast. He laments the lack of skills required to win races and the importance of pit stops. He's not stupid. That's why he put together the best pit crew in NASCAR.

5. Christopher Bell ($9,500) – JGR can't be perfect every week. One of their four cars will definitely be down for a week or be unlucky. Gibbs got it in Richmond. Bell fell at Martinsville. It's going into next week.

6. Ross Chastain ($9,200) – Texas, Dover and Nashville share similarities. The speed is constant on these three routes. Chastain was second at Texas and Dover last season. He won in Nashville.

7. Joey Logano ($8,800) – The No. 22 Penske Ford is back. Richmond and Martinsville brought Logano back to life. Texas could put him in the win column. Logano achieved a top-five driver standings in five of the last eight races in Texas.

8. Martin Truex Jr. ($9,700) – Texas is not a long-term race. That may be the case, but that seems unlikely based on the way the NextGen car behaves in Texas. Long-term speed is Truex's superpower. That strength probably won't be helpful on Sunday.

9. Brad Keselowski ($8,200) – Texas is a strategy race. Whoever goes into the pits at the right time will decide the winners. There will be four-tire, two-tire and no-tire stops. The drivers completely forego the pit lane. Keselowski is one of the most aggressive pit strategists in NASCAR.

10. Ty Gibbs ($8,500) – Click Reset. Do not pressure wash the system. A simple reset is enough. The medium-haul package is back. Toyota dominance is not expected in Texas. Gibbs will compete, but he has no competitive advantage.

11. Chase Elliott ($9,300) – Victory is coming soon. Elliot achieved a top-10 driver standings in four consecutive races at the intermediate Texas track. He was also fast on the comparable routes in Dover and Nashville.

12. Chris Buescher ($8,000) – The Texan has never been great in Texas. He never had great equipment. His best Texas Motor Speedway race car was last year and he received the fourth highest driver rating.

13. Erik Jones ($7,000) – Legacy Motor Club is not a large team. Your equipment isn't the best. Texas is an idiosyncratic route. It doesn't run like the typical 1.5 mile race. Jones took advantage of the oddity and achieved a top-10 driver standings in the last two races in Texas.

14. Jimmie Johnson ($6,700) – This is not the Hendrick version of the seven-time Cup Series champion. His Legacy Motor Club Toyota will not be a winning race car. He is a winning racer (seven wins in Texas). At this price, a top-10 finish in NASCAR DFS will be more than enough.

15. Michael McDowell ($6,200) – There are many inexpensive options on this list. Given the nature of Texas, almost every punt or value pick is in play. McDowell has finished in the top 20 in five of the last seven races in Texas and in the top 15 in four of those races.
