Cody Rhodes gets a brutal WrestleMania XL reality check after being “finished his story” by the UFC legend

0

WrestleMania 40 was everything it promised to be and more, and then there are those who aren't happy with it. WWE recently merged with Dana White's UFC and that was all anyone could talk about for months. This move also puts the wrestling organization in the sights of UFC fighters and observers. Now WrestleMania has become the center of attention, but how?

This edition of WrestleMania was quite exciting for WWE fans as they saw the return of The Rock in the ring. Dwayne Johnson and John Cena in the ring again was something that certainly got fans buzzing. Johnson and his cousin Roman Reigns did everything they could to defeat Cody Rhodes, but in the end, Rhodes ended his story. But was that enough for this UFC veteran?

Cody Rhodes, along with his partner and then-heavyweight champion Seth Rollins, competed in a tag team match against “The Rock” and Roman Reigns. However, this wasn't enough for Rhodes, who took on Roman Reigns a few hours ago and took the heavyweight title from him, becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Chael Sonnen clearly didn't enjoy the conclusion of this annual spectacle. Sonnen wrote on Twitter that this may be the worst ending to a prestigious WrestleMania event. “This celebration is the worst and least planned moment in the history of Wrestlemania.” he wrote. Do you agree with Sonnen's opinion?

This WrestleMania was a mega event where former and current WWE stars unexpectedly arrived and performed. On the first day of the mega event, “The Rock” was speared by his own cousin and they still managed to get the tag team victory.

On the second day, as The Rock and the others brawled out of nowhere, The Undertaker showed up in the ring and rewarded Dwayne Johnson's hard work with a brilliant chokeslam. John Cena was also seen in the arena in his signature style, causing the audience to erupt in applause and cheers. However, it also stands to reason that Sonnen thinks it was a bit chaotic, because a lot of things happened pretty quickly and there was just a lot to digest. But Sonnen wasn't the only UFC star watching the showdown.

Daniel Cormier was a veteran UFC star who watched WrestleMania 40 unfold live. He once tweeted and applauded Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for stopping by “Good in there” inside the wrestling ring. He admitted “Tribal leader” Roman Reigns shares a picture of Reigns entering the arena with Paul Hayman. Many were also happy about Cody Rhodes' final victory.

In addition to him, middleweight contender Bo Nickal also tweeted, telling the world how he was following the event and that he would like to be a part of the organization at some point in his career. This makes sense considering Nickal is one of the few fighters in the division who is better known for his wrestling.
